The Best Geek News

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is FromSoftware's latest high-speed mech action game. Despite the name, Armored Core 6 is actually the sixteenth entry into the world of freelance mech warfare (and the first release on PC), where mercenaries fight to the death on behalf of corporate sponsors and terrorist cells. The series has been on hiatus since From Software ascended to triple-A status with the Souls series.  From software armored core Rock Paper Shotgun is owned by Gamer Network Limited.

An entirely new thing

In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, FromSoft has achieved new heights of trolling its players, subverting our expectations, just generally zagging when we expect them to zig—and it had me letting out hearty belly laughs the entire way through. It's hard to praise a game for its malicious little surprises without spoiling at least a few, so consider this your Spoiler Warning for an area and weapon in the first two open world zones. Matters become complicated, though, when one considers the series’ ties to its publishers at Activision. FromSoftware does still own the property rights to make a Sekiro sequel if the studio wants to, but, given Director Hidetaka Miyazaki’s reluctance toward sequels, and the fact that Activision will likely be under new leadership in the coming months, there may be just enough degrees of complexity to let this title go down as a highly successful one-off. Its mechanics will still probably influence what comes next, though. Related Lobbies allow up to 9 players
